Dear Jugglers
I have just learned that this morning at the Scotiabank Torontol
Waterfront Marathon, Michal Kapral of Toronto set a new world record
for joggling the Marathon with a time of 2:50:09. w00T! (Joggling, in
case you didn't know, is juggling while jogging --- or in Michal's
case, juggling while running really, really fast.) Michal finished
44th overall in a field of 2099. And of course, it goes without
saying that all 43 ahead of him were running the boring way, without
juggling.
This obliterates the previous record of 2:52:15 set by Zach Warren of
Boston in the Philadelphia Marathon of 2006 and puts the record back
where it belongs, in Canadian hands. Michal and Zach have been
trading the record back and forth for a few years now; I believe that
this is the third time Michal has held the record. Michal also holds
the 10km joggling world record, with a time of 36:27.
Michal's blog, with his announcement, is here:
